China yesterday donated a further 50 million yuan towards Sri Lanka's tsunami victims.

The announcement was made by Chinese leader Hu Jintao at the official discussion with President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga following a guard of honour ceremony accorded to the Sri Lankan leader at the Great Hall of the People.
 
Earlier in January China donated 50 million yuan to Sri Lanka in the immediate aftermath of the tsunami. (RM)
