Ten thousand tsunami affected enterprises to be revived

 

THE Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL) and the Back to Business Project signed MOUs recently to accelerate and revamp over 10,000 tsunami affected Micro Small and Medium Enterprises during the year 2006.
The FCCISL entered into agreement with Kalutara, Galle, Matara, Hambantota, Ampara, Batticaloa, Trincomalee, Yarlpanam and Kilinochchi chambers of commerce. The Vavuniya District Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture will coordinate the Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu districts.

FCCISL President, Nawaz Rajabdeen said FCCISL and Partnering Chambers have made a significant contribution to bring " Back to Business " of over 3600 enterprises and livelihoods affected by Tsunami during 2005 at the signing ceremony.
He said the Back to Business Project is implemented by the Chambers to revive enterprises and livelihoods affected by tsunami.
